Long lasting Noise Barriers >50 years life cycle
The barriers that Edil Leca offers are made with a first normal reinforced concrete layer with density of 2400 kg/m³, which has a structural and supporting function, and a second layer fixed to the first that consists of vibro-compressed units or blocks of lightweight concrete in expanded “Leca” clay produced with a certified industrial process, porous, with a density of 850-1000-1200 kg/m³ having a sound-absorbing function.
Edil Leca precast panels for noise barriers provide a large range of colors and surface finishes, ensure an excellent result from the aesthetic point of view and satisfy the following performances:
- best sound-absorbing capacity (with the possibility of different surfaces in relation to the type of intervention);
- high soundproofing value;
- durable under all weather conditions, waste gas and sodium chloride resistant;
- no need of maintenance over time;
- excellent fire resistance;
- harmoniously married with the landscape withstanding outdoor environmental impact;
- life cycle > 50 years.
Noise barrier characteristics have been certified in accordance with EN 1793/1997 standard of D.I.E.N.C.A. by University of Bologna. The acoustic panels described above are installed on HEA type profiles in galvanized steel or prefabricated pillars in vibro-compressed reinforced concrete. Edil Leca has also designed a prefabricated product in self-supporting reinforced concrete that does not require any other supporting structural element.
